Chickenhawk Santorum Nonsense: Serve Your Country with a Yellow Ribbon, Bumper Sticker
Pennsylvania Republican Senator Rick Santorum, in a tight race for reelection in Novembr 2006, recently compared putting a bumper sticker on one's car to serving one's country in uniform. I am so not kidding. Santorum:
"And yet we have brave men and women who are willing to step forward because they know what's at stake. They're willing to sacrifice their lives for this great country. What I'm asking all of you tonight is not to put on a uniform. Put on a bumper sticker. Is it that much to ask? Is it that much to ask to step up and serve your country?"
You can see the video, too. Click here.
Only a chickenhawk would make such a comparison, even in jest. Sorry. But at least Joel Stein is honest.

Santorum wasn't talking about a yellow ribbon, he was encouraging Centre County Republicans to put HIS campaign bumper stickers on their cars! You know, serve your country by helping Rick get reelected.
Remember, if Rick isn't re-elected, the terrorists will KILL US ALL!

the penn election scares me because both candidates are anti-choice nazis
Even worse is that the Dems may face a primary to choose between Pennachio (a more identifiable Democrat) and Casey who as a centrist who may not represent Democrats but may have a better shot at beating Rickey.
The conundrum comes in that Democrats need seats...but are we really getting a seat with a guy like Casey who appears to be a complete oppurtunist.

Couldn't we just serve our country by voting dead weight such as Senator Rick 'K-Street-Creator' Santorum out of office?
that is kind of sick, you vote santorum out and get his life partner instead, is that even a real democrat seat? no, he'll be a DINO ass licker like nelson and mill zeller
