Rev. Billy Graham's Son is in the Army

Operation Yellow Elephant salutes Captain Edward Graham, U.S. Army, who was recently wounded in Iraq, but continues to serve there. He is the grandson of evangelist Rev. Billy Graham. We thank Capt. Graham for his service to our country and wish him all the best, including a full and complete recovery.

Hat tip to Gay Patriot.

Good for the Grahams! Still and all, I wouldn't quite call Rev. Graham a Right-Wing fundie, at least not in the rarified air of those who have come to influence and power during the Shrub administration.

You peeps at OYE may want to check out these guys. Looks like the Washington Post doesn't believed their (avowed) credentials

If I'm not mistaken, "Captain" is a officer rank in the Army and the stripes on this boys picture indicates that he is enlisted. Clearly you hypocritical unpatriotic hippies don't know shit about our nation's honorable armed forces. Besides, your premise is flawed, as well over 50% of our armed forces identify themselves as Republicans and a plurality of the remaining claim no party affliation. So, I ask, where is the Yellow Jackass blog? Because you jackass democrats are historically as a party, cowardly.

He is wearing chevrons because he is in a West Point cadet uniform. After graduation and commissioning he would recieve his officer's rank. 2lt, 1lt, then Cpt.

Thank you for your comment. We also thank sean for his explanation. Both the photo and the current rank were indicated in the story linked by Gay Patriot.

Why don't you ask the White House to appoint you the "War Czar." It seems that the job's still open after several retired four-stars have turned it down. We cannot help but wonder why.

Don't worry; OYE is bipartisan. As you know, of course, our country has only one President and Commander in Chief.

Wow, for someone who is so sure of himself to brashly blast the "hypocritical unpatriotic hippies" for their alleged lack of military culture and knowledge, you seem overly confident. In fact you sure do seem to be lacking general military knowledge. As Sean said, that is a West Point picture. He was a CDT LT (he wears two chevrons...one chevron on the upper sleeve is a CDT SGT, one of the lower sleeve is a CDT CPL). Before you go blasting others, do your homework first (and when was the last time you saw a modern day enlisted person wear an 1800s era uniform? I can tell by your ignorant comment that you have never served in the armed forces before). BTW, this "hypocritical unpatriotic hippie" is a proud member of the armed forces and a proud democrat. I can vouch that there are a LARGE number of democrats in the service as well. Your ignorance in all realms of the military is clearly apparent.
