More Courage than a Yellow Elephant

U.S. Army 1LT Ehren Watada openly and honestly refuses to go to Iraq because, in his opinion, the war is illegal. He is willing and able to fight in, say, Afghanistan, and has not applied for conscientious objector status.

Personally, I disagree with him and think he should follow his orders, despite his reservations, because our nation needs men like him, even in Iraq. However, I do respect his integrity as a man for openly and honestly refusing, with "manly firmness," his orders to fight an illegal war, and taking the consequences. This is much better than trying to squirrel out of his commitment and I wish him the best.

OK, College and Young Republicans, what about you? If you really want to Support President Bush, are you wearing the uniform? Did you even try it on?
