Penn's Real Republican: SGT Nick Miccarelli, PANG

Operation Yellow Elephant salutes College Republican Nick Miccarelli, age 23, a student at the University of Pennsylvania, who deploys this month as a Sergeant in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard to Ramadi, Iraq.

"I have no reservations," said Miccarelli, who enlisted in 1999. "The fact is that I’m young. I don’t have a wife and kids to take care of. There are guys over in Iraq right now separated from the families that need them. Who am I to refuse their help?"

Operation Yellow Elephant thanks SGT Miccarelli for his service to our country and wishes him all the best.
