William Kristol: Yellow Elephant Flambe?
Weekly Standard Editor William Kristol strongly opposes repeal of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy, with a perspective similar to that of the Brookings Institution's Michael O'Hanlon. In both cases, it is not at all clear why either is qualified as an expert on U.S. military personnel policy on open service by non-heterosexuals.
In this case, as with the whole reason for OYE's existence, we can sum up our position in a single question:
Does William Kristol or Michael O'Hanlon personally know any enlisted servicemembers, particularly E-5 or below, or junior officers?
We have politely requested a response for publication on this blog.
