January 2008 Recruiting Statistics

The Pentagon announced that all services met or exceeded their monthly goals for January 2008. These are seasonally adjusted. So far, so good.

What should concern our national leadership, both current and prospective, is whether, and by how much, our military should be exceeding its objectives in this area.

If success in the Global War on Terrorism is so important to America, and Americans, true national leadership would join Arizona Senator John McCain, Republican candidate for President, in calling on real Americans to volunteer for military service.
