He's Off The Hook with Operation Yellow Elephant
Glenn Murphy, Jr., of Indiana, the recently elected National Chairman of the Young Republicans National Federation, abruptly resigned.
Apparently, he's been charged with a sexual offense based on a Complaint by a 22-year-old who did not consent nor choose to participate.
Were the Complainant a female, a waiver might be possible. However, since the Complainant is a male, Murphy's off the hook with Operation Yellow Elephant.

I would like to take the liberty of changing my previous comment to:
This "accused" rapist was at the Young Rep. National Convention. There was no shortage of drunk males for this "accused" sicko to attempt to take advantage of.
Even this guy deserves to have his trial before being labeled "guilty".
With this guy, Ted Haggard and Bob Allen, it's hard to escape the conclusion that Republicans are nothing but a bunch of cocksuckers!
He looks mexican. Are you sure his name is Murphy, isn't that Irish?
Maybe he was still a bit intoxicated from the party he'd been at that evening, and he thought he was supporting a soldier in the only way he knew how.

In the court of public opinion, 'guilt' need not be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
Let's put it this way: Any man is free to decline an invitation to go out drinking with Glenn Murphy Jr., without providing a reason.

Well, I don't see anything wrong with all Americans Supporting Our Troops in any way they can, provided that the troops concerned not only legally consent, but also choose to participate. Otherwise, Leave Them Alone.
It can be a major problem if would-be do-gooders of any type cannot take "No Thanks" for an answer. Asking nicely and politely is also essential to maintain one's own credibility.
Of course, I'm not surprised that Glenn Murphy Jr. lacks the social sophistication to realize all this. After all, he did manage to get himself elected as Chairman of the Young Republicans National Federation at YRNC2007.
