Yellow Elephants even in the 'War' of Ideas

Here's the latest from Hans Zeiger of WorldNetDaily (AKA WingNutDaily) via our friends at RespectfullyRepublican.com of Washington State:

"The war against this enemy is more than a military conflict. It is the decisive ideological struggle of the 21st century and the calling of our generation." These are the words of President Bush on Sept. 11, five years after the attacks. If baby boomers doubt that this present war is the calling of their generation, the children of the boomers – at least the rising leaders among them – have little doubt that it is theirs.

On the eve of Sept. 11, 2006, nearly 150 Hillsdale College students gathered for a candlelight vigil on the campus quad in front of Central Hall. I expected perhaps a few dozen students to take time out of an already busy evening on campus for the occasion. But they kept coming, picking up candles, forming into the solemn huddle.

Zeiger goes on to mention two female Hillsdale students; one's brother is going to Iraq, the other's boyfriend, also a Hillsdale student, seems like one of the Marine reservists called up.

This, out of a crowd of 150? Hel-lo!

So what does this have to do with RespectfullyRepublican.com? Well, it appears that they've wimped out. They're even Yellow Elephants in the 'War' of Ideas.

The only reason they they would go to a joke place like Hillsdale College in the first place is to be safe little proteced wimps in a safe little ideological bubble where everyone agrees with everyone.

As far as Respectfully Repugs go He didn't like the terms of the debate. Because it wasn't totally skewed in his favor
He wanted to hold us to some elaborate standard of decorum while he felt free to take cheap shots and make bogus assertions
