August 2006 Recruiting Statistics

The Pentagon announced September 8 that all services' active-duty components met their August recruiting goals, as did five (as a practical matter) of the six reserve components. The Army Reserve got 62%.

Although The Pentagon repeated the same nonsense as before regarding the 1999 (i.e., Clinton Administration) fact sheet on who "is" [sic] volunteering for the military, they neglected to include the link. Good.

Operation Yellow Elephant takes full credit for this development, and we repeat our challenge:

We've been fighting the Global War on Terrorism for almost five years now. Can't somebody do an update of current recruits' demographics? Doesn't the Bush 43 Administration want to show real Americans who's volunteering for military service now?

Or does it depend on what the meaning of "is" is?
