Thanks, Matt Drudge!

Well, apparently the UK did send Prince Harry with his unit on a 14-week deployment to Afghanistan, per a voluntary agreement with the British press to keep quiet about it until his return.

And it lasted ten weeks, which is pretty good.

Unfortunately, the Drudge Report irresponsibly publicized the deployment, so Prince Harry is, at minimum, leaving Afghanistan early.

OYE Comment:

Henry Hager, you're not off the hook! We don't have a hereditary monarchy in America and, as of noon on January 20, 2009, you'll be even more of an ordinary private citizen than you are now.

In fact, why don't you contact a military Officer Selection Officer to see if you are eligible to take a commission? You can show your faith in the Republican Party by signing up now to serve under President McCain.

Hat tip to AmericaBlog.
