Last Call to Be A Man! Enlist!

Our Military Recruiting Year ends Sunday, September 30.

Will Our Army Make Its Recruiting Quota for FY-2007?

As we've been saying for over two years, the best way for a healthy, heterosexual, pro-war young man to Support President Bush (top photo, Sept. 18) and Vice President Cheney (bottom photo, Sept. 14) is to gather up his own personal documents, including educational and medical/dental records, and report to his local military recruiting station ASAP.

This is the best opportunity ever for those previously rejected [for reasons other than non-heterosexuality], who are still interested in serving, to Be A Man! Enlist!

Recruiters and the Army are under such great pressure that they'll waive anything except "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

OYE Comment:

We know that our Army will miss its recruiting quota for FY-2007. If they were going to make it, they would already have enlisted Recruit No. 80,000 and gotten some great press for President Bush.

It is also possible that, having concluded this, military recruiters decided to stop enlisting anyone not meeting standards lest such a servicemember [e.g., PFC Steven D. Green] later contribute to strategic failure.

The real question is whether lazy, corporate media will ask our national civilian political leadership why they have yet to encourage real Americans to volunteer for military service in the Global War on Terrorism, even if they plan other careers later in life. We doubt it.

It's pretty telling that there are long lines and waiting lists for iPhones and Halo 3 and none for recruiting centers for our Army and Marine Corps.

Great site. Stumbled upon it when I was looking for some stats on how many college republicans quit school to serve. Have any figures?

I am also a military mom with a son on his fourth tour. He put off college to serve. I wish these young kids who wave the flag and say we should "fight em there so we don't fight em here" had half of the courage of these young soldiers today. They support the war as long as THEY don't have to serve. Keep up the good work!

Favoriting your site and passing it on. Cheers
