Absolutely spot on with that "Chickenhawk vs. Firefighter" post.
In the case of Iraq, all the chickenhawks don’t really value liberty, justice, etc, as much as they say they do, or they would go fight in Iraq. Either that, or they really don’t believe Iraq is about fighting for liberty and democracy.
Bingo. The chickenhawks really don't believe the Iraq War is a noble, just cause. Oh, they love it for what it's doing for their defense industry and oil company stocks, but otherwise they think it's a total clusterf*ck.

Some of us have fought in wars . . . and we're not so happy to commit to a perpetual one embroiling our nation in decades of corporate security projects and nation building exercises designed to pacify a violent population until such time as their resources are no longer necessary.
but that's just me. what do I know? I'm just a liberal - and a combat veteran, and a business owner, and a father, and a citizen, and a taxpayer, and a writer. obviously, since I'm not a preacher or a think-tank attorney, I don't know shit.
