FY-2006 Total: 80,000 and What?

Our Army has no incentive to, and therefore will not, exceed the current recruiting quota by more than a handful. As of today, military recruiters should start early on next year's quota by saving current prospects for October.

We see only two exceptions: Recruits born in late September 1964 (about to turn 42 and become ineligible due to age) and recruits counted in individual recruiters' September quotas.

We sincerely doubt that the final number will exceed 81,000; it will likely be less than 80,500.
