Labor Secretary Chao Wins First Republican Leadership Award

The Honorable Elaine Chao
Secretary of Labor
U.S. Department of Labor
Frances Perkins Building
200 Constitution Ave., NW
Washington DC 20210

Dear Secretary Chao:

On behalf of President Bush, Operation Yellow Elephant salutes your strong support of our Mission in Iraq. According to Wonkette, your management style has proven a strong incentive in motivating and encouraging ambitious young Republicans, the future leaders of our nation, to volunteer for service in Iraq.

We thank you for your support, not only of the President, but the credibility of our governing party in this time of need.

[Complimentary closing]

Here's the money quote:

Two of [Secretary Chao's] assistants could only get out of the Department of Labor by volunteering to go to Iraq. No one has lasted more than 9 months in the position. She is notorious for screaming at people, calling them idiots and worse. There is a story that has circulated for sometime about throwing an ash tray at one person. The list goes on and on.

An ashtray? She works in a government building, and I thought all government buildings were smoke-free these days.
