My Entire Blog Disappeared.
I just logged onto blogger to add to one of my otrher blogs, and all of my stuff is gone.
I wrote some stuff on my blog today. Then I logged out and came home. I looked at the blog when I came home, but did not go to my dashboard.
Now, 20 minutes later. It is all gone. Even my url comnes up :"404, file not found".
That has some of my best work on it. I don't blog politics that much: my main focus is long stories, true stories about peopel I know.
If I can't get my shit back I'm going to lose my shit.

That's too bad.
I agree. It is too bad. I've had blogger problems in the past and every time I finish a blog I Right Click--> Select All--> Copy and then hit "publish". If it doesn't publish I paste the blog into a text file and wait until blogger get their act together.

I don't know. I logged out properly when I left work and shut down my computer completely.
The blog itself was available when I got home, and by the blog I mean the actual site, not the dashboard/publishign area. I set a picture of my kid that I'd published there as my desktop wallpaper, and went downstairs to have abeer.
When I came back upstairs and decided to publish something, I logged into blogger, and all my blogs were gone fromt he dashboard, and the actual site came up as "File 404, Not Found."
Blogger's help desk has thus far not responded to requests fo help. Not even an acknowledgement.
Try searching the google cache. You may be able to recover some of your older stuff (espcially since google owns blogger).
I got a lot of my stuff back via google, but decided to abandon the politcal stuff for the most part (I have my hate mail to richard cohen saved in my email account, as well as my letters to the editor). But one particular piece about a friend of mine who hanged himself, which took me three months to write, is unavailable. it's the only piece that google doesn't have a cache of for some reason.
Live and learn I guess. But I fuckign HATE blogger right now. And the fact that their help desk hasn't responded AT ALL does not make me feel particularly kindly toward the company.
I thought my blog disappeared too, but it turned out that there was just some temporary glitch in Blogger's system. Perhaps we have the same case? Read my story about what happened to my blog, and you might figure out what went wrong in yours. Thanks!
