Jason Mattera's BFF

If OYE decided to begin a Hall of Fame, Jason Mattera would likely become our first inductee. But apparently the guy that is "fighting the battle for ideas" has at least one apologist. In a rant bizarrely similar to Chris Crocker's "Leave Britney Alone" diatribe, a gentleman calling himself KnowJesusKnowPeace defends Mattera's cowardice.

Now, is Jason Mattera a chickenhawk? No one invited him to serve. He didn't get drafted. But I bet you if he was drafted he would go. Now, I know Jason Mattera. I spoke with him and he told me that he heavily considered joining the military. That he looked at the different options. In the end as we see, he decided to serve the American people, the American mindset, the basic core of American values, the conservative platform by founding Y.A.F., by going onto television and speaking.
A warning to OYE and other Mattera critics:

So, men like Jason Mattera are vitally important. And men who are knocking him down, you don't understand what you're coming against.

OYE Comment: We haven't been able to confirm what we're "coming against". Although unconfirmed sources told us the Wrath of Mattera may include getting our faces scratched or possibly a gerbil thrown on us. We'll be on guard.

Here's the video:

H/T to Sadly, No! for the pic of J.M.

The unfortunate thing is that posts such as this give Mattera far more attention than he deserves (although I agree with OYE on everything here).

Even from a conservative standpoint, Mattera does absolutely nothing of value. He works for an organization that rips of donors while accomplishing nothing. Other than having Ann Coulter (does anyone still take her seriously?) speak at a few conferences, and convincing college kids to display flags on 9/11, YAF does little to advance any cause. It's basically an organization that allows Ron Robinson to do nothing while collecting a $400,000 paycheck each year.

At the end of the day, Mattera is just an idiot who makes a few media appearances and is then quickly forgotten about.

(having previously worked for conservative organizations, I'm quite familiar with how YAF works).

The Young America's Foundation and other conservative groups on college and university campuses provide an important defense.

The humanists and others have a MAJOR investment in controlling what information is given to college students, whom we expect to be our future leaders. The vast majority of textbook publishers are owned by one family. Before California banned the word-group of family terms, those terms had already been absent NATIONALLY for several years.

There is an attack on families, conservatism, Christians, worship of God and morality in general. Groups like YAF and men like this knowjesusknowpeace fight a good fight. I expect they will be more excited to see Jesus on Judgment Day than those who detract!
