Guess you have some fans. Always thought OYE was for people who support the war, and who refuse to fight it?
You thought wrong. OYE is for liberal cowards who haven't served, and who get their rocks off by criticizing other people for not serving. You know, like Democrats criticizing Bush for being in the National Guard when their last President was a draft-dodger.

I always though the point of Clinton NOT serving was because he DIDN'T support the war. Didn't he protest against it? You know, courage of convictions. Sort of like people who SUPPORT this war SERVING. You know, courage of convictions. Who knows, maybe I'm just drunk.
Not only are these people unwilling to serve, they are unwilling to treat our military like a bunch of toy soliders.

Actually, I would wager that these keyboard commandos, the 101st Chairborne, were reluctant to sign up for Selective Service. I made my commitment 27 years ago: did anonymous and his comrades in arms do the same?
Is it even worth trying to engage people who can't take responsibility for their own words, let alone their actions?
Actually, Brian43ny, you're close. It is for those who support but won't fight in the current war, but to serve as encouragement to act on their better instincts and join the fight.
I want this war over and our troops home. If enough young healthy men and women who support their President's agenda feel the same way, the exhausted soldiers currently in country could be rotated home, and the operations wound down and concluded. But each day there are many who think this war is the great struggle for civilization but can't be moved to fight in it. Someone else is fighting in their place. For those are grooming themselves for the mantle of leadership to refuse the obligation of service doesn't say much for this generation's values.
I find it hard to believe that so many young healthy men and women are unwilling or unable to hear the call to action. In 20 years, who will feel proud to stand up and claim he fought the war from an office on Wall Street, that managing a hedge fund or writing up legal cases, was the best they could do in the war?
Apparently the folk(s) at OYJ are cowards when it comes to dissenting opinions. It seems only "team" members are allowed to comment and I saw no way to become a team member.
I have a sneaky feeling that this blogger may not be a member of the Executive or Legislative branch and has a great obsession with secrecy. How about it Dick, is that you???
If they are so troubled that OYE can not provide a list of people not serving (???) they should just put out a list of all the many College Republicans who have interrupted their college (as I did on 1967) and gone to support their President by serving in Iraq.

I retract that statement. The cowards won't let people post. That says tons.
Here is what I tried to post but they are too chicken to publish. believe that OYE is asking that those who support the war put their blood where their mouths are and sign up or shut up.
YRs who do not sign up are being hypocritical. Pretty simple really.
Kinda like your fearless leader who used to show up on campus in his flight suit and encourage others to sign up while he had his Nat'l Guard not-going-to-Vietnam experience.
