Whither all the War 'Supporters'?

Here's what I sent to the Christian Science Monitor in response to their article, "Whither all the war protesters?" published January 19, 2007. Click here and again on Brad Knickerbocker to share your own thoughts.

To the Editor:

Whither all the War 'Supporters'?

Brad Knickerbocker ["Whither all the war protestors?" Jan. 19] should be visiting military recruiting stations and asking, "Whither all the war 'supporters'?"

If President Bush won't even try to persuade healthy, under-42 American heterosexuals to volunteer for military service, even if they plan other careers later in life, it is difficult to see how he can achieve Victory in Iraq.

If President Bush won't even try to convince his strongest supporters to encourage their eligible relatives and friends, their circles of influence, to contact military recruiters, there is no need for anyone to protest the war.

Operation Yellow Elephant is a non-partisan grass roots citizens initiative to Support Our President by encouraging his strongest supporters, if qualified (healthy heterosexuals 41 and under), to volunteer for military service.

Sincerely,

Karl Olson
