Indiana University: A Credible College Republican

Meet Shane Kennedy, a junior business major and Chairman of the Indiana University College Republicans. According to the student newspaper, Kennedy served in the Army on the border of Turkey and Iraq at the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Kennedy said President Bush's comments on the war touched him the most:

"I was honored to be in the presence of the president of the United States," he said. "It was probably one of the coolest things I've ever experienced."

We thank and respect Mr. Kennedy for his service to our nation. We hope he will encourage other Indiana University College Republicans to consider military service. You can join us in this effort. Click here.

Other than a lingering nose wrinkle at what passes for "cool" in Shane Kennedy's world, I raise my coffee cup to one of the few GOPers who put their bodies where their mouths are.
