Veterans Lobby Day on DADT: May 10-11, Washington, DC

Operation Yellow Elephant strongly endorses Veterans Lobby Day, May 10-11, Washington, DC, presented by Servicemembers United and the Human Rights Campaign, to urge Congress to get rid of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

This is a one-time-only event to Seize the Moment!

All Americans, including civilian supporters, are invited and most welcome. Let's do whatever we can to bring our country back together.

What is the matter folks?
I AM attending these events May 10 and 11 to speak out regarding MILITARY SEXUAL TRAUMA and how the veterans who survived this MST are shut out and their civil rights are taken away.
Thanks for yur posts!

Bro, we understand a little bit re MST, and wish you peace in your future. Keep the faith!

I was embedded with our military in Iraq for over a year, and was sexually harassed by a female [DoD civilian detailed to State Dept.] at the U.S. Embassy, to whom I had to work because I was transitioning my project to her. Even though I told her, "I do not consider you as a potential romantic partner," she wouldn't stop. It was not fun.

Eventually, I finally got out of there, but not without some drama. Now I know a little bit re how both men and women feel in such a situation.

'See you in DC next month.
