Nevada Joins Operation Yellow Elephant

Real American Dave Peter spent his Fourth of July making his concerns known to the elected political leadership of Nevada, accompanied by other real Americans who disagreed with him.

Regardless of one's views on the war [on which this blog has not taken a position], Operation Yellow Elephant encourages all Americans to focus on elected political leadership, rather than ordinary servicemembers doing their jobs. In our country, we have civilian control of the military. The buck stops there.

I did notice that three car loads of the right wing war supporters were of military age. I informed them that I served in the military for 22 years and asked why they are not serving in this war of aggression which they so strongly support. They had no answer, so I assume they are willing to let others die in Iraq but aren’t willing to take that risk themselves.
