Former CJCS General Shalikashvili: It's Time to Get Rid of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell!"

Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General (ret.) John M. Shalikashvili, U.S. Army, has endorsed another look at the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. OYE money quote:

Our military has been stretched thin by our deployments in the Middle East, and we must welcome the service of any American who is willing and able to do the job.

Operation Yellow Elephant couldn't agree more. How about you, College and Young Republicans? If you can't find it within yourself to "Be A Man! Enlist!," at least don't trip up those who can.

Hat tip to Servicemembers Legal Defense Network.

It's about damn time. Gays have been in the military as long as we've had one.
The first IG was a gay Polish Count. I don't remember his name. He served in the Revolutionary Army.
