Service and Citizenship
As the OYE TV commercial chugs along (I'm trying to find public domain military footage that doesn't look too dated. Slow work. Please feel free to suggest ideas.) I stumbled upon this gem from the 1950s. Since that's where our Republican colleagues want to bring the world back to, this film should inspire them to sign up now.

You are making a comercial? Great!
What is wrong with using dated clips. You could structure them as "in the good old days when service was everybody's duty" and then contrast them with the present situation.
Monkeyboy is right. Be A Man! Enlist!
Don't forget the V-Girls!

what are you doing here you should be making commercials for the army
ENLIST YOU CHICKSHIT PUSSY
I think that using dated clips will make a less effective ad. I want to do an ad as close to current recruitment ads as I can although clearly for OYE. I want people to think that it is a real recruitment ad if they aren't looking close enough.
Here's a question for any legal-minded people reading- virtually everything produced by the U.S. government (text, information videos, photos, military band music, etc.) is in the public domain. Does that include U.S. Military TV commercials? Because I could easily re-edit an existant commercial into an OYE one.
Also, I don't make commercials for the Army because I'm not in the Army. I also didn't support this war, so I don't feel it's my job to enlist. That's sort of the whole point of OYE- let the people who wanted this war be the ones to fight it. I'm just trying to help them be a little less hypocritical.
